I’m Missing Branson, MO

Out of the blue, late yesterday afternoon just as I was heading up to our theatre, I received a call from my friend, Eric Presley from  Presleys’ Country Jubilee in Branson, MO.  Presleys’ Country Jubilee is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in Branson, MO.  What a feat that is – Congratulations!   Their theatre is smack dab in the middle of Branson’s Hwy 76.

Eric, is the Presleys’ Show comedian (he is holding the jumper cables in the attached picture).

When I take my tour groups to Branson,  I always include a performance at the Presley Theatre.  Its a favourite of my passengers.  The Presley family is very special.

The Walters Family performed our own show at the Presley Theatre a few years ago.  That performance was the first time, a band other than the Presleys’ entertained on that historic Branson stage.

Eric and I chatted for a good hour.  He filled me in on all the Branson news and we shared stories about each of our family’s.

Eric was happy to hear that we currently have a terrific Branson show, “Thank You For The Music – ABBA Tribute” at our Walters Theatre.  Tonight is their final performance of a 13 show, sold-out run.  Having the cast of, “Thank Your For The Music” here makes me feel a little closer to Branson.

I admit I can’t wait to get back to Branson, MO.  The Branson entertainers always say that the Walters Family are part of their entertainment family and when I bring groups to their theatres they like to make my passengers experience extra special.  Last time we visited Branson, country-music legends, “The Oak Ridge Boys” met my passengers back-stage before the show and took pictures with them.  We were told they only do this a couple times a year so everyone really felt like VIP’s.

Branson, MO is a one-of-a-kind destination.  With over 90 entertainment shows in town its no wonder its often referred to as the “Live Show Capital of the World”.

I’m missing Branson but know I will be back there with many of you and we’ll be thoroughly entertained at, “Presley’s Country Jubilee”.
