Feeling Hungry?

Over this summer I have been searching for the very BEST local, “PAD THAI”.  Pad Thai can be found just about everywhere in Thailand.  When I was recently in Bangkok a highly regarded chef from the prestigious Siam Hotel, taught me how to prepare this complex noddle dish, which is a World’s favourite.

During my summer travels I made a point to dine at local restaurants serving Pad Thai.  This culinary project turned into a tasty summer obsession.

Unfortunately the winner, my favourite Pad Thai Restaurant is a few hours away from my home in Niagara Falls, Ontario.  “Pad Thai and More” is a little hole-in-the-wall establishment on Lundy’s Lane.  Their grand opening was July 1st.  The owner has only been in Canada since 2008 and her Cousin who is the restaurant manager since 2011.  The taste of their authentic, Pad Thai, transported me back to Thailand.  If their restaurant was closer to me I’d be a regular.

My runner-up Pad Thai choice goes to PAI Restaurant, (named after a town in Northern Thailand) in Toronto.  I dined at PAI, 3 times this summer and I always ordered the same thing, Shrimp Pad Thai along with their resfreshing Lemon Grass Ice Tea.

During my summer travels there were some Pad Thai highlights and many disappointments.  I feel the Pad Thai prepared at “Pad Thai and More” is in a culinary class of its own.  I can’t wait to get back to Niagara Falls so I can visit this establishment again.

Many of you enjoy dining at restaurants that I recommend so below is my current list of favourites.  I don’t eat red meat or pork so when you see my suggested burger/schnitzel/ribs choices they came from friends and family.
