Spent the morning touring around picturesque Strasbourg, France, which was the first town in France to become a UNESCO World Heritage site. This community offers a medieval past with a modern future. It is a charming place with a Notre Dame, Cathedral – the biggest attraction. My group split up on a couple different tours – we had a choice of a “Canal Cruise” and “Do As The Locals Do” Excursions. We returned to the Riverboat for a scrumptious lunch and some of us are taking the 2pm shuttle back into town so we can continue exploring – yes, there will be some shopping time too! It is a beautiful 70F day but its windy around the cathedral as its the towns highest point but there is a legend that says its always windy at the cathedral as the devil is trying to enter – think I will stay away from that wind and will enter a French Bakery instead!
